The vandal resistant dome minimizes damage to the camera caused by tampering or vandalism. Featuring an 82° wide horizontal field-of-view and exceptional low-light performance, this versatile mini-dome network camera maintains exceptional image clarity throughout the entire field of view, in a variety of lighting conditions. Canon's exclusive DIGIC NET technology ensures high image quality and high speed communication. An advanced pivoting axis lets you position the camera at exactly the angle you need, while genuine Canon optics ensure the sharpest, most color-perfect images possible.  Vandal Resistant Housing The exterior of the VB-C500VD is comprised of high-shock resistant materials, reducing the possibility of outer damage caused by vandalism. The base is made of a heat-resistant polycarbonate and ABS mixture, the body from tough alloyed aluminum, and the dome cover casing is made of strong polycarbonate plastic. Multi-Directional Shock Absorber Canon’s unique shock absorbing mechanism on the camera unit effectively eases the effects of high impact blows to the camera housing, protecting the camera inside. Tamper Proof Screws | Specially shaped screws are used to fix the camera and the dome cover case.
